Board of Directors

The New York Press Association is governed by a 24-member board of directors.

The board includes seven members of the executive committee (president, president-elect, vice president, secretary/treasurer, assistant treasurer, immediate past president and the president of the NYPS board); eleven district directors; and six directors at large. Executive committee members serve one-year terms, and board members two-year terms. Directors are elected at the annual membership meeting held during the Fall Convention. The board meets four times a year to conduct the business of the Association.

The New York Press Service (NYPS) is governed by a separate five-member board of directors. The president and immediate past-president of the NYPA board always sit on the NYPS board. The NYPA Foundation is governed by a separate board.
